GILAT’S PORTABLE SATELLITE TERMINAL ENABLES BROADBAND CONNECTIVITY ANYWHERE ON EARTH

At only 8KG, the portable Satcube Ku presented by Gilat Telecom enables high-speed internet connections with an interface that is as simple as an iPhone.

Designed for homeland security, broadcast media companies, emergency response teams, and other industries that work remotely, the Satcube Ku satisfies those who demand high capacity communications from all corners of the globe.

The technology taps high throughput satellites (HTS) to deliver broadband-level connectivity to places with limited or no 3G/4G connectivity. The size, ease of operation, and low cost make this the premier connectivity device for remote locations.

Ami Schneider, Gilat Telecom’s VP of Defense and Homeland Security (HLS), said “I believe the Satcube Ku will revolutionize the way homeland security teams operate from the field, or how emergency response teams communicate with the public during a crisis.”

“With a simple set-up that doesn’t require any engineers, and the ability to be up and running in less than a minute, this device can save lives by enhancing real-time communication.”

The Satcube Ku can also be used by law enforcement, public safety organizations, tele-medicine clinics, and anyone else working remotely with high-capacity data requirements.

According to Schneider, the unit includes hot swappable batteries which allows users to “run the unit for three hours without having to go offline to switch the battery.”

The Satcube is available for viewing at the ISDEF Expo 2019, at Gilat Telecom’s booth 4010.
