AVIATOR UAV 200 MAKES ITS FIRST APPEARANCE AT ISDEF EXPO 2019
The AVIATOR UAV 200, which redefined satcom connectivity, is making its first appearance at the ISDEF Expo, Israel’s largest defense, homeland security and cyber exhibition.
Attendees will have the opportunity for a firsthand look at the world’s most compact, lightweight, and innovative Inmarsat satellite solution available.
The AVIATOR UAV 200 weighs just 1.45kg and offers IP connectivity to smaller airframes and Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (TUAV). It provides homeland security personnel near real-time data streaming of surveillance video, as well as the capacity for enhanced aircraft control and health monitoring beyond the line of sight.
Ami Schneider, Gilat Telecom’s VP of Defense and Homeland Security (HLS), who will be showcasing the product at the ISDEF Expo said “We believe there will be a lot of interest in the defense and surveillance capabilities at the expo and we are looking forward to presenting it, together with our partner, Cobham Aerospace Communications.”
Andrew Legg, Cobham’s regional sales director, commented: “Miniaturization is so important for the satcom market right now and it’s something that we’re really good at here at Cobham. We believe working together with Gilat will open the door toward more opportunities in Israel and abroad.”
Developed by Cobham Aerospace Communications and distributed by Gilat Telecom, the AVIATOR UAV 200 also helps improve command and control of the UAV, and downlink mission-critical data such as imagery, video, sensor information and the flight status of the UAV.
The AVIATOR UAV 200 is available for viewing at the ISDEF Expo 2019, at Gilat Telecom’s booth 4010.
